Alberto Diaz

Alberto Diaz, President. An influential leader in the local building industry, Alberto has dedicated his professional career to expanding and improving construction in South Florida through integrity and commitment to quality. Among his other community contributions, he served on the Board of Directors for the Builders Association of South Florida (BASF) in 2008 and in 2013 founded Gables Construction Group.

Originally from New Jersey, Alberto was raised in Miami where he learned the business from his family. As President, he is responsible for the overall direction of GCG. He is present for all field site operations and provides hands-on supervisory services, securing and assuring quality workmanship and efficiency on every project. Alberto is also deeply involved in the procurement and vetting of subcontractors and vendors, always making sure they enhance job progress and performance.

Through his meticulous attention to detail, passion for his clients’ satisfaction and proven integrity and determination, Alberto continues to establish long-lasting relationships while continuously advancing and innovating South Florida’s construction landscape.

Marisol Arboleda-Diaz

Marisol Arboleda-DiazVice President. A prominent member of the South Florida construction industry, Marisol has built an illustrious career through her service to the community, her extensive work experience and her dedication to growing GCG.

Prior to joining Gables Construction Group Marisol was the VP of Purchasing and Construction at United Homes, where she was responsible for overseeing the successful mass-production of very large home developments involving many custom variables.

Accomplished at meeting the challenges of building nearly 3,000 homes a year during her tenure there, Marisol now uses that skill set to ensure the finest quality and customer satisfaction for each of the projects she oversees as Vice President at GCG.

Marisol’s vast experience also includes serving as a Board Member for the Latin Builders Association (LBA), where she was honored with the Director of the Year Award, the first woman to ever receive the distinction. She was also Vice President of the LBA’s Executive Board for seven years and Chairperson for the Events, Membership and Education Committees.

From 2006-2007, she served on the Miami-Dade County Development Process Advisory Committee (DPAC), advising the Mayor and Miami-Dade County Commissioners on issues affecting the building industry, while reporting to the County Manager’s office.

Over the course of her career, Marisol has also served as director and board member at the Coral Gables Junior Woman’s Club and the Coral Gables Crime Watch Committee. She is also on the Executive Board of Directors for the Builders Association of South Florida, a member of the National Home Builders Association (NHBA) and FHBA Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and a state-certified roofing contractor.

In addition to her current board positions Marisol is excited about a new opportunity as a Board member for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Miami. Her goal is to continue to help this organization fulfill their mission of assisting deserving low income families with an opportunity to become homeowners.

Jose Diaz

Originally from Pinar del Rio, Cuba, Jose is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he earned a degree in Criminal Law. As part of the GCG team, Jose uses his highly-regarded people skills to oversee scheduling and the coordination of all aspects of company construction projects from start to finish. Motivated, ambitious, and focused, you can find Jose enjoying time with his family when he’s not at work.

Angel Hernandez

An organized and meticulous manager, Angel is responsible for planning, coordinating, and assisting subcontractors to make sure projects are finished properly and on time, with maximum quality. Originally from Havana, Cuba, Angel learned the construction business from his father. He dedicates much of his free time to the study of innovation.

Office Manager

Priscilla Rivera

As an organized multitasker with a background in marketing and events planning, Priscilla is the office’s right-hand woman. From accounting to permit processing, inspection logistics to assisting project managers, Priscilla is a talented team member who executes GCG’s commitment to excellence throughout all of the day-to-day operations of the business. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places she hasn’t been before.

Sammy Diaz

With more than 20 years of experience, Sammy has overseen a broad range of construction projects in and around South Florida. Originally from Cuba, Sammy studied at Rutger’s University in New Jersey and then went on to Florida International University, where he earned a BA in Business Administration. He is also a musician and sports aficionado. In his spare time he plays the piano, violin, bass and enjoys watching baseball and soccer.

Jorge L. Esteban

A recognized leader in South Florida’s Tropical Modern and Mediterranean Architecture style, Jorge is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 1978. He is a member of the National Council Architecture Review Board (NCARB) and the American Institute of Architects. He is a licensed architect in the state of Florida, a Certified General Contractor and a Licensed Interior Designer. Born in Havana, Cuba, Jorge resides with his family in South Florida and is an avid photographer and certified Divemaster Scuba Diver.
